Track Name: July 25th
The captain's gun washed ashore late one summer night,
reminding me the winds are changing once again,
and it's starting to feel as cold as July.
Track Name: I Loved You
Maybe I'm still changing
while the world around me stays the same
sleeping off the ghost as it takes up residence in my head
dreams built upon a passion
that once burned the candle at both ends
and the weight chipped away at my bones

It's been a long road
riddle with childish mistakes
and I blame myself, oh I blame myself
and I keep finding myself here
tripping over gravestones
except it's 3 AM and you're not here

Maybe I'm the same
the world slipped by in the blink of an eye
lie awake watching shadows dance along the floorboards
bloodshot eyes too dry for tears
but it's all just gasoline to the flame
overshadowed by regret of the words I never said

It's been a long road
riddle with childish mistakes
and I blame myself, oh I blame myself
and I keep finding myself here
tripping over gravestones
except it's 3 AM and you're not here

Still got a thing or two
to teach me about this life
I've just got so many questions running through my mind
every step I take
every promise that you break
the thoughts arise, I'm still stuck in my ways

Now I'm ripping through the pages of notebooks that I found
burning the words you left behind
Im ripping through the pages of notebooks you had left
where your heart was written down in ink

I said "I loved you"
as you stared blankly at the ceiling
later that night you crept back in
said "I love you too."
